I'm going OTAKU

I’m going OTAKU!!!!
Here is my latest conquest from Otaku House from PS today. I bought it!!! It’s so evily cute~

It’s Beelzenef from the anime Ouran High School Host Club

Umehito Nekozawa

Umehito Nekozawa (猫澤 梅人 ,Nekozawa Umehito?) is depicted as a hooded figure holding a cat puppet named Beelzenef. Umehito hates bright light to the point that he refers to anyone who drags him into lights as 'murderers'. The Black Magic Club’s president, he tries to get people to join his club though is not too successful. However, anyone who joins gets a free "Beelzenef" doll. Umehito has one as a puppet, but it is also available as a voodoo doll. Nekozawa claims that if you write the name of the person you hate on the back of the doll, the person will be showered with misfortunes. Tamaki, especially, is superstitious about Nekozawa's curses due to having experienced them first-hand, or so he believes.

Umehito is actually very handsome under his hood, although he wears a black wig over his naturally blond hair and bright blue eyes. He has a younger sister named Kirimi who is afraid of the dark and cats. As a result, the two siblings were not able to be around one another until Tamaki and the Host Club got involved and prompted Umehito to adapt to light and display his more heroic and princely side. In the end, it is Umehito's love for and desire to protect his little sister that endears him to her, despite his photophobia; he braves daylight to save Kirimi. Although he collapses right afterwards from exposure to sunshine, Kirimi loves him all the more for his willingness to brave that which he loathes so much to protect her. On a funnier note, at the end of volume 8, it is shown that Kirimi has turned into a nearly identical darkness fanatic as Umehito. Both sport dark cloaks and have their features covered. Despite the Host Club's efforts to help him brave the sun, he is still just as obsessed with his occult passions. In the Halloween episode, he appears before Tamaki (from a coffin no less) and offers his services in helping scare the student body.

Randomness

Well, I was on the bus today and I actually caught a very interesting piece of conversation among these two JC kids. It was quite obvious that the guy was flirting with the girl and the girl was flirting back.

They talked of a very strange topic.

What would you think of when you are on your death bed?

Well anything that has to do with death has caught my ear and attention. They discussed that they would most likely think about the life they have had, the job they have had and whether their families would be well taken care of after their passing.

They moved on the think about the job prospect and into which areas they wanted to venture into. The guy said he doesn’t want a very monotonous work while the girl said well I do not wish for that either that is why she wanted to become a psychologist and everything is more unexpected that way, everyday would be different.

I almost snorted. I thought about how they were still young and they can actually dream of their job. I am not putting down her idea but it takes a lot of hard work to be come a psychologist and well let’s face it the niche for a profession in psychologist is limited to either nut cases or prison psychologists.

Then they talked about how psychology is not monotonous and not full of theory, which was where I had an urge to turn around and tell her, my dear girl, there is a lot more theory that meets the eye behind the science of psychology. Of course I did not do that, I think she would have freaked out.

It is good to see people with dreams but being in Singapore, it is not a very conducive environment for young ones to grow and actually spread their wings to achieve their own dreams. You really have to strive really hard to achieve what you want to do.

Hard work + determination + a little bit of luck.

Landing your dream job in Singapore is not as easy as it seems. Sighz.

Valentine's Day

As Pinkie always say, Friday the 13th came late for us. I had insomnia last night upon which I actually slept zero winks till the very next morning. I attempted to lure the sandman to throw sand on my eyes to make me sleep at 2am in the morning. However, he didn’t show up. I tossed and turned and it was 5 am in the morning. I on the fan and conditioned myself that it was the heat that was causing my suffering. I set the fan on a timer for 1 hour and guess what; I actually was still awake when the fan went off. I hit 3 hours this time and as I tried to drift off and finally was getting comfortable, I could hear my parents rising as they are morning people. Disturbed again. Didn’t sleep at wink till I dragged my sorry ass out of bed at 1245pm.

I headed down to meet Pinkie and we caught the movie “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans”. I came away from the movie with two conclusions. Sex sells and movies even horror ones or sad ones or comedy one has sex splashed all over it. The other conclusion is a debate actually:

Why do girls like to subject themselves to horror movie with their boyfriends and get all scared and snuggle up to their counterparts? Are they just dumbifying themselves so that the men can be all macho? I got quite irritated when this girl with her bf next to me kept talking nonstop and jumping at every possible slash and clanging of the swords. Every bloody scene, she winced and then giggled and snuggled closer to her bf.

I like horror movies, period.

Then after that we saw a horde of roses salesmen parading the square trying to sell roses to potential couples. I just dragged Pinkie away because they were too expensive, especially those sold in Orchard.

We headed to Novena and had steamboat dinner. I highly NOT recommend that you go to that steamboat restaurant we went to. Besides they give you’re a 100g of live prawn for you to massacre into the boiling pot, nothing else was nice. The dead prawns tasted funky, the muscles’ meat was actually green, and the environment was a bit bad. We had a couple sit next to us and their live prawns, 2 of them actually bounced over and under our table. Their loss, really. Then this little girl behind me kept using her balloon to bash my chair and my back. I turned around and gave her the stare and she stopped for a while and continued on when there was no adult supervision. The sushi were not fresh, the fondue tasted so watered down that it was terrible. After a disheartening meal we headed off to Novena to digest what impurities we have eaten.

Pinkie bought me purple rose at the end of the day, as such to make up for a quite uneventful dinner. We headed home and we just chilled beneath my house for a while. Nothing beats resting away from the bustling crowd and just kicking it back and enjoying the fresh air and no ruckus.

So all in all;

Happy Valentine Day!

Sidetrack:
I found this quite a coincidence. On Friday the 13th, our table number was 13, and when we had our lunch today on 14th Feb, our table number was 14. When we bought our tickets, we had seats number 13 and 14. Coincidence???

Moral of the story:
Go buy 4D

My 1st offical post

Okay, okay I have finally conformed to the norm by actually owning a blog; unfortunately. This is heavily under the influence of pinkie the clown. Actually I do not know the exact purpose of owning a blog? To let people know that you are very much well alive in this world even though we like to talk about our own privacy? Isn’t this in a way violating our own privacy?

I seriously doubt I would be updating it much but I did have a lot of fun choosing the skins and editing them and thanks to pinkie the clown it actually worked. The bad thing is that I have grown obsessed with picking out skins for this blog and have neglected posting for almost 3 days.

To cut the chit chat, this is my first and hopefully not my last official post on my blog.

P.s. If anyone can find some very emo / black / grey blog skin that suits my character do let me know. Arigato neh~!
